| A scientific expedition to the Arctic. From July 30 till August 13 2012 we sail with a cruise boat to the eastern side
of Svalbard and circumnavigate several times the island Edgeøya. The boat is filled with scientists and students from the Netherlands,
which will run their scientific programs. In total there is room for 100 people. We will investigate the human footprint in one of the last remote wilderness areas. It is a place with rapid changes due to recent warm periods with earlier disappearing sea ice. More than 25 years ago, the island has been focus for ecological studies by Dutch scientists. We will disclose all the old data and collect new data. The new expedition is bigger and multi-disciplinary. Details can be found on http://www.sees.nl | ||
