| There is again a lot of building activity in Ny-Ålesund. The old-timers are involved again. Here Arild Lyssand and Arne Johan Jakobsen are re-enforcing the walls of Fjøsset. | |

| There is a new building in the triangle area being built. It is a second building for emergency energy generators and heaters. A risk assessment for the village has shown that there will be high costs if all the heated pipes for water and sewage freeze. And all the heating and energy is now generated in one building. So an extra building was needed. The work also implies a lot of changes in the pipe routes close to the building. | |
 The building on the left is the old generator house, the concrete structure with openings is newly build. | |
 There is a new rerouting plan for underground pipes in the area. | |
The roof of Amsterdam is isolated and gets a new cover. The building is called Amsterdam as the radio mast behind the building promoted the area to a red light district.
