Satelite Receiving Antennas

Satelite download antenner
These antennas receive data from scientific satellites. The satellites to be received (e.g. CHAMP and GRACE) are in polar orbits. The polar antenna location therefore allows one radio telemetry contact for each satellite rotation around the earth. The benefit is a low latency between measurements on satellite and data download.
