2Dgrees on the pack ice | 5 April 2017 14:17 |
Bernice Notenboom is a Dutch journalist and explorer. At this moment she is heading on the pack ice to the North Pole. Her expedition is called 2Dgrees and wants to create a momentum to stick to the 2 degrees limit for climate change as agreed in Paris in 2015. She is calibrating ice and snow thickness. A NASA plain flew over and photographed them both in a normal and infrared image. End of April, she has returned to Svalbard and I will go on a short cruise with her and her sponsors as a lecturer and guide from Longyearbyen to Ny-Ålesund. | |
