| We have been in the Kongsfjord on a cold foggy day without wind to count all birds along the coast. The world was grey, the ice was blue. See a video impression. | |
| Blue ice is light which is shining through a block of ice. Like with scuba diving decending deep in water, the red colour disappears and the blue reaches deeper. The ice is shining blue light. It is not a colour of reflection but a colour which shines. | |
Despite the beauty, it was also cold to count the birds.

| But it was nice to make this trip with Nico, Shivani and Matteo at the end of their stay. | |
