In the middle of Kings Bay, there are several breeding areas which are special nature reserves for geese and ducks.
I am extremely lucky that I am allowed to visit these islands to check nests of barnacle geese.
Today all nests have hatched and I have some time to make two short impressions on video.
The hut on the island Storholmen was falling apart. It is a cultural heritage and this year they have started to renovate the hut.
It is used for teaching young carpenters to renovate cultural heritage. They had to stop because of the breeding season and this is a good moment for an update.
After four hours wandering over the island, I am waiting for the boat to bring me home. On the beach I made this video.
