SIOS polar night week | 26-29 January 2026 | ||||||||||||||||

SIOS: Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System is an international observing system for long-term measurements in and around the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard addressing Earth System Science questions. It is a international consortium of institutes of which the University of Groningen is one of the members with the Arctic Centre. In Longyearbyebn on Svalbard there is the SIOS Knowledge Centre, where all is coordinated.
The SIOS Polar Night Week is an annual online conference on Svalbard.
