Fjord count 3: meeting a whale | 21 July 2026 |
During the third fjord count of foraging birds, we meet a humpback whale soon after the start. Douwe Hoekstra made spectacular pictures. Let us hope this individual can be recognized by the tail fin. This tail fin did not show when the whale was in shallow water, but was beautiful shown when the whale got in deeper water, together with its traditional humpback.
