searching for avian influenza outbreaks | 4 July 2025 |
| Hans Verdaat found for dead murres floating in the fjord. There were also soime other birds which behaved like being infected by acvian influenza. Hans collected the dead bodies for Maarten to sample. In a project with Erasmus Rotterdam (Thijs Kuijken), Wageningen Marine Research and the Arctic Centre of the University of Groningen, we are sampling birds for avian influenza research. The project is called "Polarflu". In the video to the left Karein filed the sampling. | |
