| In Thiisbukta heb ik al jaren geleden stukken toendra afgegaasd zodat de ganzen buiten gesloten zijn. Exclosures noemen we dat. Daarna volgen we de ontwikkeling in de vegetatie. En die zijn inmiddels opvallend, ondanks de vele keren dat er al plagjes uit de plots zijn gesneden. De vegetatielaag in de exclosures is meer dan een decimeter dikker. Ook bloeien er pinksterbloemen. Dat is ook een soort die zeer geliefd is bij ganzen en rendieren in waarvan in de begraasde vegetatie enkel rozetjes voorkomen. In de voorgrond een exclosure uit 2016 (1 m2) en in de achtergrond een exclosure uit 2003 (4 m2). | |

Hieronder is de controle plot. Die leek op de exclosure in 2003 en die sindsdien altijd begraasd is geweest.

Onderstaande plot is niet meer begraasd sinds 2016. Nu heeft deze plot de grootste diversiteit in soorten.

En hier onder is de plot onbegraasd sinds 2003. De plot staat vol met paardestaart een plant, die de ganzen heel graag en met grote voorkeur eten.
