Mijn nicht Lisette Loonen en haar man Ivo van Veen brengen me vandaag een bezoek. Ze hebben een cruise met de Plancius van Oceanwide Expeditions en varen om Spitsbergen rond. Vorig jaar hadden ze gepland om mee te gaan met de SEES.nl expeditie naar Edgeøg;ya, maar konden op het laatste moment niet weg. Nu hebben ze een nieuwe mogelijkheid gepakt en bezoeken Ny-Ålesund. Ik ben hun gids en maak een klein tochtje buiten het dorp met het electrische autootje Goupil.
