Het gaat nog steeds goed met de Noordse sternen die we uitgerust hebben met een geolocator. Deze zat op de uitkijk bij zijn jong en heb ik goed kunnen fotograferen.

Een detail foto genomen door mijn telescoop. Prachtig vuurrode poten. Aan de linkerpoot (gezien vanaf de vogel) draagt de stern de metalen vogeltrekring van Stavangermuseum. Het deel van het ringnummer 738 is te zien. Aan de rechterpoot draagt de vogel een gele plastic ring waarin twee gaatjes zijn geboord. Door die gaatjes zit een tie rap met daaraan de geolocator.
